In my opinion an iPhone is incomplete until it is jailbroken. You may not think so if you have never jailbroken your iPhone,before but, for anyone who has and had to go without, you know what I am talking about. The iPhone 4.o firmware update is out and it is packed with all sorts of new features that are very tempting and may make you want to update. But beware, because once you do there's no going back and you won't be able to jailbreak for  a while. If you already accidentally updated your phone don't give up hope because numerous exploits found have already been found, and a new jailbreak is on the way. The 4.0 jailbreak is going to take more work than ever because the updated broke a lot of the apps in cydia including mobile terminal, 5 icon dock, and more. All of these need to be ported to the newer firmware which means there is almost an endless supply of work to be done. There is no estimated time out of when the jailbreak will be out, but with the help of a former Apple employee headway is being made.

Stumble Upon has given a new option for those of us who don't have enough friends to be entertained by facebook. It's addicting and some of us just can't stop.

A lot of people have never noticed the hidden messages in company logo's all around them. On a long trip to Florida I noticed the arrow between the "E" and the "X"on the back of one of their trucks and figured it had some reverence to what they did. Here's what's new: Facetime Apple is introducing the world to a whole new form of mobile communication with their mobile video chat called Facetime. Facetime doesn't require any extra set up or any usernames; with just one tap you can be face to face with whoever is on the other line. Facetime allows the use of either camera for video chatting so you can have a face to face talk, or see exactly what whoever is on the other line is seeing. So ya'll have seen a few posts letting your know I'm out of town so the next post shouldn't surprise you. I just got a new app called log me in ignition to remotely access my home computer from my phone and I was very impressed. The app costs $30 but for those of you with jailbroken iPhones you can give yourself a little "trial" for free. It's easy to use; just install the app, sign up on their website, and install their desktop program. You have full access to use your home computer just like you would if you were there except for the interface. It takes a bit of time to get used to but once you've used it for a while you get used to it. The only issue I noticed is if you have a computer with a slower graphics card or if your phone has a bad connection it can be a bit laggy. It's fun as a toy and would be a great resource in a pinch and need access to your home computer while your away. I recommend changing your resolution settings to around 640x480 because it will make everything much bigger and easier ...

I’m out of town this week and I wanted to make sure I didn’t neglect T3chToday but I wasn’t sure how I was going to do that. Where I’m at there isn’t any wifi and I don’t own a cellphone company’s wireless card for my laptop. I did some digging around looking for some information on iPhone tethering and found a tutorial on PdaNet for iPhone on lifehacker. Nothing ever seems to work out too easy for me; since my laptop doesn’t have bluetooth I had to use the USB method which I could not get to work with Ubuntu because PdaNet does not support it. After dualbooting my laptop with Windows, I was pleasantly surprised at my results. It’s pretty snappy Internet for a free bootleg tether. My only complaint is the spotty service where I’m at, but that’s AT&T’s fault not PdaNet's. iPhone tethering is against your AT&T’s terms of service, so be careful if do decide to tether. AT&T isn’t really cracking down on people using an iPhone tether right now because they do not offer the service yet, but they will in the future.
